Okay! Time to talk about the Nicki Minaj x MAC Cosmetics collaboration! Yay another beauty post.

I am a big fan of Nicki Minaj. Her Harajuku Barbie Aesthetic has always been EVERYTHING. The recent extra EXTRA long hair, baby pink latex outfits, and a PINK Lambo? Hell yeah..

When I heard the collab was happening I was really excited. I marked my calendar, made my bf go to work late so he could buy it for me, and just ended up at the mall before the Mac store even opened. Unfortunately they said it wouldn't be released until Friday for in store purchase. BUT THEN.. the Mac worker told me about their "private party" for people to get the new release. She put me on the list and we came to the mall AGAIN just to get it.

I swatched most of the colors that was also being released with the collab but my main focus was the limited edition colors that had the special packaging..and supposedly Nicki had picked herself. The other colors were really pretty nudes and this super amazing sparkly gloss. I would definitely go back to buy the gloss.

Based on the swatches alone, you can see that they are creamy lipsticks. They are pretty moisturizing, they don't dry out or crumble. They apply smoothly but some have complained they are too soft. I didn't smash them into my lips so I didn't have a problem. Swatched on my arm they look great.. but oh boy when I put them on my lips.

That is a face of confusion. The face of a bimbo. The face of a blow up doll. The face of someone eating powdered donuts maybe?

This is Pink Print. The pinkier toned one. I didn't apply any lip liner (because I don't have any) and you can see this was a mess. Since the lipstick is sooo creamy, it's hard to build the color so it looks patchy. Plus it's just not meant for my red skin tone. I was a bit shocked that Nicki picked this color herself considering how unflattering it is on me, and I'm pretty pale.

Brown lip liner would make this way more flattering no doubt. If I had tried it on in the store, I probably wouldn't have picked it up. The packaging though.. makes it worth it maybe?

NEXT is Nicki's Nude. My favorite out of the two. It's way more flattering and workable. I typically dab a little on my inner lips and put a gloss over. There is more of a coral tint to it. If I'm not careful it does look bad on me. If you're my skin tone or darker, then a brown lip liner will be helpful!

They had a lot of pretty nudes for the collab so it's weird to me that these two kind eh. The packaging is super pretty. No complaints about it being a part of my lipstick collection. I'm a sucker for collaborations.

With much procrastination and my body falling apart on me, like a real doll. Living the dream. I got a cute mini photoshoot done so I'm happy. It's officially October and I feel like death. The only thing stopping me from doing a cute witchy shoot is my lack of a black witch hat and a witchy dress. I almost picked up a $10 velvet skull. BUT NO.. MUST FOCUS ON GETTING THE ROOM PINK AS POSSIBLE. BE GOTH WITCH LATER.

LIKE MY FACEBOOOOOOK!
